If you would like to learn how to put together these intercessory prayers, or have done so and would like to serve this way by preparing them, or working with someone else to do so for our liturgies, please contact Teresa Elder Hanlon teresa.hanlon@gmail.com Text or phone: 403-359-0812 (liturgy team co-ordinator) with dates through Lent and onward that you are available to do so. LENT 2022 Theme for Lent 2022: Drawing from Wisdom Wells Introductory letter to Lent 2022 Dear Mary of Magdala Inclusive Catholic Community,
Here we are again, the beginning of Lent for another year. Traditionally Lent is a time of self-reflection, openness to the Spirit of God moving in our lives, and commitment to change for the better in ourselves and our world. The practices of prayer, fasting and almsgiving are intended to help us move along the journey of transformation to Oneness in Christ. gathered with MMICC’s Indigenous Relations Team to listen to Métis
Elder, Water Walker, Marjorie Beaucage. We told our own stories of
water growing up, playing on the shores and beaches of oceans (Atlantic
and Pacific), lakes and rivers. We remembered wells and creeks, the
beginnings and the breadth of great drinks.

Several members have mentioned difficulty receiving email regarding the MMICC Eucharist. The problem, we think, is that some Internet Service Providers (SaskTel, Bell, Telus, etc.) are either blocking or sending bulk and bcc email to the Spam folder. We will
continue to use bulk and bcc email for practical and security reasons,
but to alleviate this problem, we are doing the following:
1. Our three
messages ahead of each Eucharist are regularly sent on three
consecutive days. MMICC members may contact mmiccregina@gmail.com ahead of
time informing us that they have not received the expected email.
2. On the day the worship aid is sent out, it will also be posted to the Worship Aids page of the MMICC Bulletin Board. For security reasons, the Zoom link will be sent only by email one hour before the start of the liturgy or meeting. 3. The message with the Zoom link is sent one hour before the Eucharist liturgy starts. If the link is not received as expected, at least a half-hour before we start, members may telephone (306-737-2927) or send an email message (mmiccregina@gmail.com) requesting the missing link. |
